This spring, Houston florist, Nanan from Event by OVA, and I planned the entire workshop while she was home, in France. Always focusing on the experience, the details, and just having the opportunity to work together are all things that have become an integral part of our friendship. We love brainstorming ways to engage our community in a very unique and creative way.
West Elm, without a doubt, has been the perfect space for us and very much feels like home (and definitely makes us wish our home looked like each well-designed corner of the store).
Intimate workshops have given us so much space to slow down from day-to-day busyness to connect and create something that fills our hearts to the brim.
A little background on Nanan – we met in 2021 when we designed this shoot. Since then, we’ve worked on many events together – including her very first branding shoot last month! It’s so sweet and such an honor to be able to step back and watch her lead with so much confidence. Thankful for another successful and fun workshop!
Also, do you agree that these four ladies are ready to become florists?? I was completely blown away with what they have created! Another beautiful thing about floristry is that even though the colors and floral types may be the same, each arrangement is a unique representation of each of our attendees rather than being formulaic.
