This vintage, modern venue is the perfect canvas for us to reimagine what intimate events can look like. We carefully paired our design with its designated space so that everything flow seamlessly from one space to another.
Westy and Kyle were the perfect pair for this editorial. They brought impeccable chemistry that made each shot so graceful, which made it easy to capture their marriage and endearment towards each other beautifully.
The cake sets the stage as it sits gorgeously in the front entrance, as if extending a warm yet fun welcome. The design brings us into a fairy-like, magical whimsy that immediately captures and holds our attention.
The classic invitations lay perfectly in a bed of flowers atop a floral linen and create watercolor-like imagery. The charcuterie cones are handcrafted with an assortment of berries, cheese, and crackers and are delectable appetizers for guests.
The al fresco table for six is beautifully framed with sheer drapes and two arrangements that draws attention to the couple. The beautiful pastel palette is weaved flawlessly in the centerpieces that sit on sage vases from Mexico and mirrored in the plates and drinkware. The smoked Estelle glasses were intentionally chosen to create depth and contrast in the tablescape.
For the altar, peach and purple flowers transition beautifully into green vines that climb vertically up the tree, symbolizing that marriage’s external beauty is made possible through a stable foundation. Only through a deep network of roots will the tree be strengthened and flourish. Similarly, the couple’s bond since middle/high school continues to stay strong through mutual sacrifices, respect, and love.
From Westy, wife:
“My mom asked Kyle what would happen “when” we break up.. Kyle kindly replied he wasn’t planning on breaking up, and we stuck to that plan! Three and a half years later, we were planning our wedding!
To understand how special the proposal was, you must first understand our love for Crossfit Obey, the incredible gym we are members/employees of. The people there have become like family, and it is one place where we can go to strengthen, not only ourselves, but also our relationship by always supporting and encouraging each other.
In July of 2017, I bought tickets for me and Kyle to go to the “Silobration” anniversary concert at the Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas that would be taking place in October. To make a proper “date night” out of it, we made plans to stop at Olive Garden on the way to Waco.
The day of the concert, I brought my things to Kyle’s apartment to get ready while he went to work out at Obey. When we were about to leave, he “suddenly realized” he left his wallet at the gym (which he actually did because he didn’t want to lie to me.. what integrity). We stopped by the gym and only our friend Richard was there, who also works for Obey. When we walked in the door, there was a path of rose petals leading through the gym.. however I was completely oblivious! I saw Richard peek around the corner with his camera to take pictures, so I immediately began posing and acting goofy!
At this point, Kyle was very unsure as to how to make it more obvious that he was getting ready to propose (when are there ever rose petals on the gym floor?!). I finally realized what was going on when I looked over Richard’s shoulder and saw photos of Kyle and I strung across the gym!
We followed the petals and talked about the different pictures/memories. The petals then lead to a little table at the front of the gym that had a rose, the most beautiful ring, and his Bible set out.️ Kyle read several verses.. well read what he could no longer see clearly, followed by the sweetest words and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
We have now been married just over 3 years (our anniversary is June 5th) and have grown even closer. We continue to challenge and encourage each other, and I pray that never stops!”
