Intimate McGovern Centennial Gardens Wedding

Daphine and Jonas celebrates 18 years of marriage by getting dressed up for our editorial, designed with elements that emulate a real McGovern Centennial Gardens wedding. We are purposeful when choosing married couples as models to capture snapshots of a story that reflects the depth of their marriage.

An intimate event means more attention to intentional detail and not the contrary. What has taken us by storm during the pandemic and turned out to be such a beautiful way to celebrate with those you love!

The ceremony space is a blueprint for a design that can expand to a guest count to fit an intimate event. The flowers were intentionally designed to be a semi-circle and enclose the guest space, a way to symbolize those who have been an integral part of the couple’s marriage. 

From Daphine, wife:

“One thing that I like to share is that we dated for 4 years… never kissed during this time and were both virgins until the day we said I do! We both wanted to please God, so we did things the Bible way. 

Waiting until marriage is not hard if you both focus on pleasing God. People called us old fashioned, silly, and made jokes about our stance, but today they respect us. So many people deprive themselves of experiencing true love because they do things too prematurely in their relationships. 

We really got to know one another! We learned how to love one another without any influences other than the word of God, transparency with one another, and authenticity. I got to know the REAL him, and he got to know ME! We didn’t live together or go outside of the boundaries of God’s word to please ourselves. I believe with my whole heart that this is what solidified our bond. We authentically LOVE one another. Our bond is sealed by God Himself. 

True love is still attainable, and a rich, healthy, happy marriage is not far from reach. We are no better than anyone else, but I like to share with others that God can keep you and help you build a strong foundation for your marriage when you opt to take His route.”

The cake, sweetheart table, and champagne tower serve as a way to tie everything together into one sweet, memorable occasion.
